It has even been stamped with a notary seal. It's good to be neat but it's too late. When TUS invites foreign teachers, they send an invitation letter a few months in advance and receive an acceptance letter, but it seems that there is no such procedure in Chile.

新建築が一段落したので、次はスペインから出す本の打ち合わせをズームでした。25作品のカテゴライズと並べる順番を決めた。比較的フォルマリズムなものからソーシャルなものエコロジカルなものへと並べることにした。これはフォーマルソーシャルだねとかこれはソーシャルエコロジカルだねというような言葉が飛び交い、まるで北、北東、東、南東、南と方向づけているようなターミノロジーで面白かった。出版が少し遅れていて参加してくれている建築家の皆様には申し訳ございません。確実に出版はいたします。またセレクションは新建築とはだいぶ違って楽しいです。Now that the editing Shinkenchiku is about to be over, the next was a Zoom meeting about a book to be published from Spain. We decided on the categorization of the 25 works and the order in which they would be arranged. We decided to arrange them from relatively formalist to social and ecological. 警視庁に行って無犯罪証明書を申請した。申請には先方からのインビテーションがいる。 朝届いたインビテーションにはこう書いてある。 「あなたは修士課程カリキュラムのリサーチ・プロジェクト・スタジオ、およびアドバンス科目を担当する教授として招かれます。あなたの役割は、授業の指導、学生との学術活動の調整、 そして学術コミュニティにおける議論や学問分野の発展への参加です。さらに、あなたの訪問に は、学部および学科へのあなたの研究成果の発表、学術交流の促進、そして本学の国際的な つながりの強化を目的とした普及活動も含まれます」と書いてあった。初めて自分の役割を知って少し身が引き締まる。

数年前チリカトリカ大で1週間のワークショップした時、優秀なTAが2人いて2週間前からイントロ課題を出してレビューすると言う分厚い教育体制に驚いた。今回座学とスタジオを担当するが、座学は二コマ連続で、やはりTAが既にあてがわれており準備の注文をして良いと言われている。しかも学生数は10人以下が保証されている。それはスタジオも同じで、建築家が2人つき学生は8人と言うスタジオが７-８こ準備される。 建築学科が組織上学部として独立しているところは日本でもちらほら見かける。加えて建物が独立しているところも稀にある。しかしキャンパスが独立しているところは滅多にない。チリカトリカは数世紀前の建築のリノベにアラベナなどが増築して今に至る独立キャンパスだ。世界的にみてソフトもハードもかなり良くできた建築スクールである。A few years ago, when we had a one-week workshop at Chile Catholic University, I was surprised by the thick educational system where two excellent TAs were able to present intro assignments and review them for two weeks.
