アルベルトの事務所で進行中のプロジェクトを見せてもらった。博物館、大学、大使館、リサーチセンター、住宅。皆合理的でかつ面白い。 Alberto me mostró algunos de los proyectos en marcha en su oficina: un museo, una universidad, una embajada, un centro de investigación y viviendas. Todos eran racionales e interesantes.ら

カトリカの先生でもあるマックス•ニュネスの事務所に行った。昔坂牛研の中村園花さんが働いていた時に担当したマックスの別荘の模型が丁寧に陳列されていた。そのそばにできた姿の模型がありその変化がよくわかる。マックスはだいの篠原ファンで本棚には日本建築コーナーがあり篠原図面集もあった。I visited the office of Max Nuñez, who is also a teacher at Catholic University. A model of Max's villa, which Sonoka Nakamura of the Sakaushi Laboratory was in charge of when she was working there, was carefully displayed. Next to it was a model of the completed building, which clearly showed the changes. Max is a huge Shinohara fan, and there was a Japanese architecture section on his bookshelf, including a collection of Shinohara drawings.

最後お勤め。大学院の最初のセミスターの二課題の最終講評会。カトリカでは二課題とも海外の建築家を招く。彼らはま10年このシステムを続けできた。自らを島国だと呼び徹底した国際化を図っている。第一課題は東京バンコク、第二課題はフィリップ•ラムの課題。面白いのは二つともグループ課題だが、総じて各個人がそこから学んだこと、批判することをまとめた個人のプレゼンもある。国際化と自律性他律性を磨くこのやり方から学ぶところは多いにある。My last day of work. The final critique of the two projects for the first semester of graduate school. Catholica invited architects from overseas for both projects. They have been able to continue this system for 10 years. They call themselves an island nation and are striving for thorough internationalization. The first project was Tokyo-Bangkok, and the second project was by Philip Lam. What's interesting is that both were group projects, but there were also individual presentations summarizing what each individual learned and criticized from the project. There is much to learn from this method of honing internationalization and autonomy and heteronomy

PhD スチューデントのジァン•フランコの家は曾おばあちゃんが住んでいた築100年以上の館。パブロ・ネルーダの家の数軒隣り。その最上階を来年使わないかと誘われて見学した。書斎、寝室、キッチンが別室、テラスとサウナまである。The home of PhD student Jean Franco is a century-old mansion where his great-grandmother lived. It's a few doors down from Pablo Neruda's house. I was invited to take a look around the top floor, which I was told would be available for use next year. It has a study, bedroom, separate kitchen, terrace, and even a sauna.

マルセロのオフィスに集まったスタジオの学生とお菓子食べながらフランクなトーク。学生から一冊の漫画本をもらった。これでスペイン語の勉強をせよとのこと。はいがんばります、

Maxはスミルハン、アラベナの次のジェネレーションのチリを代表する建築家である。自宅に招いていただきチリでは珍しい軽く自由な建築を楽しませていただいた。Max is a representative Chilean architect of the next generation after Smilján and Aravena. He invited me to his home and I enjoyed his light and free architecture, which is rare in Chile.

数年前来たカトリカ大学のサン•ホアキンキャンパスはカトリカ最大。アラベナやアルベルト•モレットら名建築家のデザインが軒を並べる。建築の構造はエンジニアリング学部でこのキャンパスにある。実験室を見せてもらった。I visited the San Joaquin campus of Catholic University a few years ago, which is the largest among the campuses of Catholic university. It is lined with buildings designed by famous architects such as Aravena and Alberto Mollet. The study of architectural structure is in the Faculty of Engineering, and is located on this campus. I was shown the laboratory.

フランシスコと配偶者のステファニーはどちらもカトリカの教授。フランシスコは先月日本を訪れ新建築100年を買って来た。１号が売り切れていたそうで差し上げた。Francisco y su esposa, Stephanie, son profesores de la Universidad Católica de Chile. Francisco visitó Japón el mes pasado y compró un ejemplar de "100 Años de Nueva Arquitectura". El primer número se agotó, así que le di el mío.

修士設計の中間試験のゲスト審査をした後アルベルトが教える4年生のスタジオの試験を覗く。あれウルグアイのペドロがゲスト審査している。敷地はペドロのプロジェクトが進行しているブエノス・アイレス。

やっと契約できて給与が振り込まれようとしたのだが、三菱銀行にレジェクトされたと大学からメールがきた。外国からの送金を受け取るためにするべきことをどなたかご教示ください。を

1874年にフランスの建築家ルシアン・エノーによって完成したルイス・ペレイラ上院議員のための宮殿が2010年の地震の被害を受けた。その後州によって購入され、リノベーションのコンペが行われ、セシリア・プーガ、アルベルト・モレト、パウラ・ベラスコのチームの案が選ばれ2020年に完成した。現在は国の文化本部、パブリックスーペす、カフェ、ライブラリーなどのとして使われている。新旧が対比し構造的な補強も見事なコンヴァージョンである。設計者の一人パウラに案内していただいた。ありがとうパウラ。 The palace for Senator Luis Pereira, completed in 1874 by French architect Lucien Hainaut, was purchased by the state after being damaged in the 2010 earthquake. A competition was then held for its renovation, and the proposal by the team of Cecilia Puga, Alberto Moreto, and Paula Velasco was selected. The building was completed in 2020 and is now used as the country's cultural headquarters, public space, cafe, library, and more. The contrast between old and new and the structural reinforcement make for a stunning conversion. Paula, one of the designers, gave me a tour. Thank you, Paula.
