昨日の授業で日本のビルの工事費は平米600万ペソ(100万円)だと言ったらドクターの学生がチリは5分の1くらいだと言っていた。消費者物価が日本よりすこし高いチリで建設物価が日本の5分の1は解せない。どっちが異常なのか？Ayer en clase, mencioné que el costo de construcción de un edificio en Japón es de 6 millones de pesos (1 millón de yenes) por metro cuadrado, y un estudiante de doctorado dijo わ en Chile es aproximadamente una quinta parte. Sentí que tenía más espacio mental y que quería ver arte. Si Imamura no me lo hubiera contado, me lo habría perdido. Había una sala dedicada a una exposición individual de Roberto Matta-Echaurren. Es el surrealista más famoso de Chile y padre de Gordon Matta-Clark, nacido en Nueva York.

日本から届く概算書に愕然とする。先日は坪400万。でもこれを聞いても関係者はもはや驚かないのかもしれない。僕がコンペ審査した役所の人曰く、役所建築は坪300万がデフォルトだというから。それにしても、、、、来月行くことを決めたアルゼンチンのインフレは凄まじく、僕が最初に行った15年前から比べると物価は６倍になっているらしい。僕が最初に行った時は日本の3分の1で、生活が楽だから４人の学生が留学した。しかし今はチリの２倍だそうだ。アルゼンチンから多くの購買客（観光客ではない）がサンチアゴに来るそうだ。チリの物価はほぼ日本並みとするとアルゼンチンは現在日本の２倍。建設物価もそうだろう。そんな場所で建物が建つのだろうか？？？I was shocked by the estimate I received from Japan. 福嶋さんの友がリノベした工房は篠原一男オマージュ。意識してやっているのかと聞くと、意識的だと。The workshop renovated by Fukushima's friend is an homage to Kazuo Shinohara. When asked if he was doing it consciously, he said yes.
