El desayuno cuesta solo 600 yenes. Había oído que los precios allí eran el doble que en Chile, pero la verdad es que era barato.

50年代にできたボネットハウスに到着。ここに4泊する。ロベルト夫妻と7年ぶりの邂逅。前に会ったのは娘が留学中のニューヨーク。懐かし過ぎる。早速マルベックでステーキ400グラム。 I arrived at Bonnet House, built in the 1950s. I will stay there for four nights. We Roberto and his wife and I meet after seven years. The last time we met was in New York, when my daughter was studying in New York. It brought back so many memories. シーラカンスの伊藤さんが先週サンチアゴに来てくださいました。明日カトリカ大学でお話しいただきます。今晩はラディッチが設計したメスティスソでディナー。ここは理科大学生と最初に来たサンチアゴの懐かしい場所。 Mr. Ito from Coelacanth visited Santiago last week. He will be speaking at the Catholic University tomorrow. Tonight we are having dinner at Mestizo, designed by Radic. This is a nostalgic place in Santiago where I first came with the students.

修士設計の最終試験を見学した。担当の先生2人以外に2人の審査教授が来て発表約30分。審査員のコメントが1時間。その後学生を室外に出して点数を7点満点で決め、学生を呼びその点数を伝える。充実した試験である。I observed the final exam for the Master's design class. In addition to the two professors in charge, two other professors who were judging came . A student gives presentations for about 30 minutes. The judges' comments took an hour. After that, the students were taken outside the room and given scores out of 7 points, and then the students were called back and the scores were announced. It was a fulfilling exam.

カルロス教授の車に揺られてコンセプシオンから一時間。ついに来ましたCasa Poli。ペソフォン20年前の作品。建築に加えてそのサイトに崇高を感じた。そこで会ったウルグアイ建築家は私の友であるウルグアイ建築家の友達と知る。建築ワールドは狭い。 Ha pasado una hora en el coche del profesor Carlos desde Concepción. Por fin llegamos a Casa Poli. Pesophon la creó hace 20 años. Además de la arquitectura, también me impresionó el sitio en sí. El arquitecto uruguayo que conocí allí es amigo mío, un arquitecto uruguayo. El mundo de la arquitectura es pequeño
