昨日環境の倉渕先生の最終講義を聞いて、ああ工学部教授の鏡だなと感じた。敬意を表すると同時に、これからの理科大は自然主義一辺倒だと厳しいなとも感じた。人文系の知を取り入れるべく、文系大学と合併したらどうだろう、東工大の向こうを張って。Yesterday, when I heard Professor Kurabuchi's final lecture of Environmental Design. I felt that he was a mirror of the Faculty of Engineering., and I was able to show my respect. But I also felt that TUS from now on would end if they all rely on only naturalism. I wonder what would happen if they merged with a good liberal arts university like Tokyo Institute of Technology.

『分析建築コンペ・プロポーザルー要項・提案・グラフィックを読み解く』という本がもうすぐできる。 ４年前に学芸出版の井口さんにこういう本を山崎泰寛さんが作ろうとしているので一緒にやりませんかと誘われた。でも僕はコンペ常勝の建築家ではないし、そういう任には適さないと思い断ろうと思ったが、常勝軍団の人は本音を明かさないだろうから、お手伝いすることにした。そこでコンペ案をアーカイブしている平瀬有人さんを誘い、山崎さんはパブリックリレーションの専門家、榊原充大を誘い、４人でああだこうだやってたら４年経った。この本の特徴は１０のコンペの ・要項を分析したこと ・ヒアリングに残った優秀案と最優秀案を比較したこと ・パブリックリレーションズの視点から分析したこと 類例を見ない本となった。本日念校をチェックして4月頭に店頭に並ぶ予定。乞うご期待。 A book titled "Analyzing Architectural Competition Proposals—Deciphering the Guidelines, Proposals, and Graphics" is about to be published. Four years ago, Ms. Iguchi from Gakugei Publishing invited me to work with Yasuhiro Yamazaki on a book like this. However, I am not an architect who always wins competitions, and I thought I was not suited for such a task, so I thought about turning it down, I thought that the always-winners would not reveal their true feelings, so I decided to help out. So I invited Yujin Hirase, who archives the competition proposals, and Yamazaki invited Mitsuhiro Sakakibara, a public relations expert, and the four of us went back and forth and four years passed. 来週末大江宏賞という賞の審査をする。去年その審査で僕が推した人は窓のことを突き詰めて考えていたので当時書いていた『世界としての窓』という本ができたら差し上げますと約束したのだが、まだあげられてない。もしこの投稿を見たら連絡ください、お送りします。今年はどんな作品が出てくるのだろう？一緒に審査する西沢さんや渡辺さんは何を言うのだろう？とても興味深い。毎回終わって飲みに行くのだが、今年はその後大学に戻って最終ゼミをするのでご一緒できないのが残念である。Next weekend I will be judging the Oe Hiroshi Award. Last year, the person I voted for had been deeply thinking about windows, so I promised him that I would give him a copy of the book I was writing at the time, "A Window as the World," when it was completed, but I haven't been able to give it to him yet. JIAマガジンの編集長を7年近く勤めることができたのは南口さんと言う有能な編集者がいたから。理科大の研究室を14年間運営できたのは歴代の助手と博士の働きがあったから。共著本が生まれるのは有能な共著者たちのおかげ。設計事務所DAにはパートナーの中川くんがいて、家には配偶者がいる。秋からは海外で教えるがそこには優れた友がいる。常に有能なサポーターに恵まれていることに改めて感謝したい。I was able to serve as editor-in-chief of JIA Magazine for nearly seven years thanks to a capable editor, Minamiguchi-san. I was able to run the research lab at Tokyo University of Science for 14 years thanks to the work of my successive assistants and doctoral students. Iam lucky to have excellent co-authors to make books with them. I have a partner, Nakagawa-kun, at the design firm DA, and a spouse at home. I will be teaching overseas from autumn, where I have an excellent friend. I would like to express my gratitude once again for always being blessed with such capable supporters.

J I Aマガジン3月15日号の編集後記を送り校了。最後の編集号である。住宅訪問は自邸に魚谷さん、畑さん、塩崎さん、小林さんに来ていただいてディスカッションした。６年１０ヶ月くらいの間に８０近い建築家にインタビューしたのは僕の宝である。もう少ししたいこともあったけれどこれが限界。長い間おつきあいいただきありがとうございました。読者の皆様に（と言ってもほとんど何も反響はありませんでしたが）深く感謝いたします。 The editorial note for the March 15th issue of JIA Magazine has been sent and done. This is the last edition as my chief editor. For the residential visits, Uoya-san, Hata-san, Shiozaki-san, and Kobayashi-san came to my home and we had a discussion. It is a treasure to me to have interviewed nearly 80 architects over the course of about six years and ten months. There were a few more things I wanted to do, but this is as far as I can go. Thank you for your continued support over the years. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all my readers (even though I have received almost no response).

だいぶ前に飲み屋で隣のテーブルに東大建築のM先生がいた。高校の同窓生と飲んでいるらしくその中に同じ東大のシステムのO先生がいた。名刺交換してSNSで少しお話もしていたのだが、そのO先生から先日、神保町で私の新著を発見してとても面白そうだとメールをくれた。データーと建築は似ているなと思ったというのだった。建築を建築外の視点から見ることが多い僕はよく他の分野の人から興味を持たれる。以前は遺伝メカニズムの先生に発見され「流れと淀み」を語る会というのに誘われた。A while ago, I was at a bar and there was Professor M from the University of Tokyo's Department of Architecture sitting next to me. He was drinking with his high school classmates and among them was Professor O from the same University of Tokyo's Department of Systems. We exchanged business cards and chatted a bit on social media, and the other day Professor O sent me an email saying that he had found my new book in Jimbocho and thought it was very interesting. He said that he thought data and architecture were similar. I often look at architecture from a perspective outside of architecture, so people from other fields are often interested in me. I was previously discovered by a professor of genetic mechanisms and invited to a meeting to talk about "flow and stagnation."
