あまりに分厚いので恐れ慄いたが、観念して読んだ。正直なもので私が磯崎に興味を持っていた時代まではとても面白く読めた。著者の筆力が、磯崎の狂気を余すところなく描いていてスリリングである。僕の学生時代の二人の尊敬すべき建築家の一人だった磯崎のプラトン立体（特に立方体）による建築の自律性と、原風景である東大寺の巨大性への憧れが、篠原一男と大いに重なる。篠原は正方形で建築の自律性を作り、体質として巨大性を保持していた。この時代を作った二人の類似点に改めて気づく。It was so thick I was intimidated, but I gave in and read it anyway. I found it very interesting up until the time when I was interested in Isozaki. The author's writing skills are thrilling as he portrays Isozaki's madness in full detail. Isozaki was one of the two architects I respected in my student days, and his admiration for the autonomy of architecture through Platonic solids (especially cubes) and the enormity of Todaiji Temple, his original landscape, overlap greatly with Shinohara Kazuo's. Shinohara created architectural autonomy through squares and maintained enormity as a natural part of his character. I am reminded once again of the similarities between these two men who made this era.

数えてみると、理科大に来てから13本の査読付き論文の指導をした。今最後の論文を出した。通れば14本、毎年一本のベースは意匠系（計画系ではなく）の研究室としてはかなり多い。隔週日曜日ゼミを5年間250回くらい休みを潰してやった結果である。I counted, since I came to Science College, I taught 13 peer-reviewed papers. I just posted my last paper. If you pass, 14 of them are a base each year. This number is exceptionally high among design-related labs (not planning-related) bases. This is the result of killing about 250 days off every other Sunday for five years.

毎年1時間設計の年間最優秀者に僕のスケッチブックのカラーコピーを差し上げている。昨日作りました。2021年5月から6月にかけて使っていたもの。Every year, I give a color copy of my sketchbook to the student who is the best of the year for one-hour architecture design , I made it yesterday. This was used from May to June 2021.

坂牛卓研究室で学んだ有志が「卓袱会」という会を作りました。私の名前の卓と人が和するという気持ちを込めてつけた名前です。卓袱会では毎年展覧会を4月に開くことにしました。最年長でも40半ばという若い面々ですが瑞々しいアイデアを披露してくれることと思います。是非皆様のご来場、ご批評をお待ち申し上げます。 Volunteers who studied in Sakaushi Taku's lab have formed an association called "Shippokukai." スケッチ用の小さい机を買おうか迷ったが、既存の机の使い方を改めることにした。手前がスケッチ、真ん中は読書、奥は執筆。コンピュータはもとより、本も、スケッチブックもしまわない。すぐに始められるようにしておくのが重要だと。 I was wondering whether to buy a small desk for sketching, but I decided to change the way I use the existing desk. Sketches are in the foreground, reading in the middle, and writing in the back. I don’t put away computers, moreover books, or sketchbooks. It's important to make sure you can start right away.

新しい設計が始まった。3つ目のリサイクル工場である。去年できたジビエ加工所で分解を考えたが、また分解を考えるいい機会である。A new design has begun. It is the third recycling factory. I thought about disassembly at the gibier processing plant that was opened last year, and it's another good opportunity to think about disassembly.

昨日環境の倉渕先生の最終講義を聞いて、ああ工学部教授の鏡だなと感じた。敬意を表すると同時に、これからの理科大は自然主義一辺倒だと厳しいなとも感じた。人文系の知を取り入れるべく、文系大学と合併したらどうだろう、東工大の向こうを張って。Yesterday, when I heard Professor Kurabuchi's final lecture of Environmental Design. I felt that he was a mirror of the Faculty of Engineering., and I was able to show my respect. But I also felt that TUS from now on would end if they all rely on only naturalism. I wonder what would happen if they merged with a good liberal arts university like Tokyo Institute of Technology.

本当に最後のダンボール二箱が大学から届いた。そしてなんとか全部本棚にはいった。しかし流石にもう入らない。新しく本を買う時は、買う分だけ富士見に送ってからということにしよう。The last two cardboard boxeshave arrived from the university. And somehow all could get in the bookshelf. But not anymore. When I buy a new book, I should send to Fujimi the same number of books I buy.
