朝足が動かなかったがなんとか復調

初めて本書を読んだ。タイトルである「住居に都市を埋蔵する」の冒頭住居の機能は都市に剥奪されて将来はテレビしか残らないだろうという予言を1975年にしている。僕はこれと同じような予言をマークウィグリーとビアトリスコロミーナから2015年に南京で聞いた。彼らは住宅には将来コンピューターしか残らないだろうと言うようなことを言っていた。実際ニューヨークのビジネスマンのほとんどはベッドの上でノートパソコンを開いて仕事をしているのだと。 I read this book for the first time. The beginning of the title, ``Embedding the City in the House,'' predicts in 1975 that the function of the house will be stripped away by the city, and in the future, only television will remain. I heard a similar prophecy from Mark Wigley and Beatriz Colomina in Nanjing 2015. They said things like computers would be the only thing left in homes in the future. Most businessmen in New York work on their laptops in bed.

博士の指導を本格的に始めた頃、全員の取得スケジュールを作成した。何度も作り替えたがとにかく2025年3月までまでに終わるようにとやってきた。幸い3人取得した。今、最後の2人の審査が進んでいる。この最後の半年まで持ち越すのは僕が学生ならしないな。結構呑気だよな。 When I started teaching doctoral degrees earnestly, I created a schedule for everyone to obtain their degrees. Although it has been rebuilt many times, it was decided to be finished by March 2025. Fortunately, three people got it. The final two candidates are currently being judged. As a student, I wouldn't carry it over until the last six months. Some seems to be taking it easy.

親友のライブ行って大きな声出したらスッキリした。I felt relieved after going to my best friend's concert and singing out loud.

He talked for two hours about everything from his first work to his latest work. The theme is critical formalism. Architecture has a spirit, and it is expressed in form. I was relieved to hear that.

今日は今年一番寒いというのでコーデュロイのジャケット出してきた。着て思い出した。これ着てアアルト見に行ったなあと。服には場所の記憶が染み付いているもんだ。Today is the coldest day this year, so I brought out my corduroy jacket. I remembered wearing it. I think I went to see Aalto wearing this. Clothes carry the memory of a place.

Dacoという人気のパン屋さんが近所にできるそうだ。待ち時間が半端ないらしい。Apparently a popular bakery called Daco is opening in the neighborhood. There seems to be way long waiting time to get in the store.

執筆中の『建築を見る技術』にエイドリアン・フォーティーの『メディアとしてのコンクリート』から１枚、『言葉と建築』から２枚写真をお借りしたく編集者がメールしたらすぐに無償でデーターくれるとの返事が来たそうだ。フォーティーは元気だろうか？だいぶ前に塔の家で会って学芸出版の井口夏実さんと六本木の安藤忠雄の建物の中にある六根におでん食べに行っのが懐かしい。When my editor emailed me that I wanted to borrow one photo from Adrian Forty's ``Concrete and culture'' and two from ``Words and Buildings'' for ``The Art of Viewing Architecture,'' which I am currently writing, he replied that he would immediately send me the data free of charge. I wonder how is Forty doing. I remember a long time ago when I met him with Natsumi Iguchi of Gakugei Publishing at Tou-no-ie and went to eat oden at Rokkon, located in Tadao Ando's building in Roppongi.
