理科大社会人コース4年生。デザインデベロップの仕方というテーマで半期やってみました。設計の前半で自分の良さを自分で発見し、それに関連するアート作品を決め、その良さをアンカーにしてさらに展開するという方法を全員に課しました。なかなか良い結果が出ました。Fourth year student at TUS. I tried it a semester on the topic of how to develop designs. In the first half of the design, we assigned everyone a way of discovering their own goodness, deciding on the artworks that are related to them, and using those goodness as an anchor to develop them further. It was pretty good results.

チリカトリカ大学院の学生向けの講義とスタジオの内容説明のプレゼンが終わった。たかだか15分だけど他の先生が皆聴いているし、一番最初なので緊張した。The lectures and studio presentations for students at Chile Catholic University Graduate School have been completed. It was only 15 minutes, but all the other teachers were listening, and my turn was the first, so I was nervous.

スペインのエンリックとズームをして日本の現代建築の本の最後の詰めをしている。夏に出す予定が遅れて秋になりそうだ。カタルーニャに留学していた中尾さんが原稿整理してくれていて何とかなっているが、僕もエンリックもてんやわんやの大騒ぎである。Zoomed with Spanish Enric and fills out the final collection of a book on contemporary Japanese architecture. We planned to release it in the summer and it's likely to be autumn. Nakao, who was studying abroad in Catalonia, organized the manuscripts, so we managed to get it done but we are hectic.

チリに行く前に「切ろうね」と言っていた伸びすぎたユーカリを剪定していたら腕に電気が流れたような痛みが走った。イラガの幼虫。毒針を持っている。俗称電気虫。ピッタリな名前である。 I was pruning the overgrown eucalyptus that my spouse had told me to cut off before going to Chile. I started to feel a pain like electricity had flowed through my arm. A larva of Monema flavescens. It has a poisonous needle. Commonly known as an electric insect. It's the perfect name.

進行中の未だできていないけど締切がもうすぐ（というか過ぎている）原稿5つ、少し手がついているけど加速できないでいる本の企画3つ、設計、現場の仕事５つ、チリの授業企画２つ。誰かが助けてくれるわけでもなく、粛々と進めます。お待ち下さい。Five manuscripts that have not yet been completed but are close to deadlines (or rather, they are almost over), three books that had started but are unable to accelerate, five designs, on-site work, and two lessons in Chile. 第一生命で不動産開発している信大坂牛研初代の松永君が、清水建設の設計施工で木と鉄のハイブリッド12階建て貸ビル「木のテラス」を作ったと言うので見せていただいた。見応えありました。大変勉強になりました。オフィスも面白い。 Mr. Matsunaga, the first student of the Sakaushi Laboratory, Department of Architecture, Shinshu University, who works at the real estate department of Daiichi Life Insurance, told me that he had built a hybrid 12-story wooden and steel rental building called "Kino Terrace" designed and constructed by Shimizu Corporation, so I went to see it. 飯田善彦さんは出版業もされていて、高宮さんの『クラシシズムとモダニズム』を第三弾としてお作りになられた。装丁も無駄なく素敵な本である。後期モダニズムを物質性と場所性と特徴付けていたのは私たちの認識と近く励まされた。

チリのビザはオンライン申請だが英語版がない。だから全部グーグルレンズに頼ってしまう。何のためにスペイン語を勉強しているのやら。便利グッズは人間を怠惰にする。The Chilean visa application is online but does not have an English version. That's why I rely on Google lenses. I wonder why I study Spanish. Useful goods make humans lazy.

やっと正式なインビテーションが送られてきた。公証人の公証印まで押されている。きちんとしているのはいいけど遅い。理科大が外国人教師を招く時は数ヶ月前に招聘状を送りそのアクセプタンスレターをもらうものだがチリにその手続きはないみたい。Finally, I received an official invitation. It has even been stamped with a notary seal. It's good to be neat but it's too late. When TUS invites foreign teachers, they send an invitation letter a few months in advance and receive an acceptance letter, but it seems that there is no such procedure in Chile.
