拙著『教養としての建築入門』の文章が今年も入試の国語の問題に使われた。大学入試と高校入試二つに使われ著作権の関係で問題が送られてきた。高校入試問題は答えが明らかである。他方大学入試問題は文章の意味を問う選択肢の差異がとても小さい。自分でもきちんと文章読み直さないと間違えそうである。The text of my book “Introduction to Architecture as a Liberal Arts” was used again this year for a Japanese language question in the entrance examinations. The questions were sent to me for copyright reasons. In the high school entrance exam, the answers are apparent. On the other hand, the university entrance exam questions ask about the meaning of the text, and the differences between the choices are minimal. If I do not reread the text properly, I am likely to make a mistake.

大学時代、平井聖研のゼミに出させていただたき、日本建築史の定本を数冊読みました。奈良行く前に再読中。During my university days, I attended Hirai Kiyoshi’s seminar and read several standard texts on Japanese architecture history. I'm rereading it before going to Nara.

退任記念に学生から商品券のような体験券をいただいた200くらいあるコースから体験を選ぶ。奈良のThe Share Hotelに配偶者と一泊することにした。地域に根差した宿の設計をする予定なので最新の事例を感じるために。見るものは三つ。法隆寺、唐招提寺、薬師寺、書いてる本でとりあげているので再度自分の目で確かめたくて。To commemorate my retirement, I chose my experience from around 200 courses which I received experience vouchers like gift certificates. I decided to stay overnight with my spouse at The Share Hotel in Nara. I plan to design a locally rooted accommodation, so I want to feel the latest examples. There are three things to see. I've covered it in books I am writing. Horyuji Temple, Toshodaiji Temple, and Yakushiji Temple, so I want to see for myself again whether it's true.

先ほど同済大学の先生とズームをした。彼らの国際交流の仕方にはちょっと驚いた。ヴォリュームも質もかなり高い。9月にはモルフォシスが、12月にはスノヘッタが来て集中講義し、アメリカとドイツとワークショップするなどなど。彼らのレベルはどんどん上がっているなと思っていたら今年のプリッツカー賞はLiu Jiakunというニュースが舞い込んだ。当然だなあと思った。 I just had a conversation via Zoom with a professor from Tongji University. I was a little surprised at how they do international exchange. The volume and quality are quite high. Morphosis will come in September, and Snøhetta will come in December to give intensive lectures. This year they will have two workshops in the US and Germany, etc. I thought their level was getting better and better, and then I heard the news that this year's Pritzker Prize winner was Liu Jiakun. I thought that was only natural.

よせばいいのに4月から理科大と日本女子大の講義は全く新しいものにするとシラバスに書いてしまった。したがってそのパワポづくりに追われている。 6月の北海道三大学レクチャー計7コマも半分は新しく作ることになりそうである。でもここではパワポなしで話すだけの授業もやってみよう。 5月末締め切りの新建築の原稿を今書いているがこれは2万字あり、かなりしっかりとした内容になるからこれをしゃべりと板書だけでやってみたい。 I've written in the syllabus that I will give a completely new set of lectures starting in April, the lectures at Tokyo University of Science and Japan Women's University will be completely new. Therefore, I am busy creating powerpoints. It seems that half of the seven classes of lectures for the three Hokkaido universities in June will be created. But here, let's also try a lesson where I just talk without powerpoints. I am currently writing a manuscript for Shinkenchiku, which has a deadline of May, but this is 20,000 characters, and it will be quite solid, so I'll just talk about it on the board.
