日本から届く概算書に愕然とする。先日は坪400万。でもこれを聞いても関係者はもはや驚かないのかもしれない。僕がコンペ審査した役所の人曰く、役所建築は坪300万がデフォルトだというから。それにしても、、、、来月行くことを決めたアルゼンチンのインフレは凄まじく、僕が最初に行った15年前から比べると物価は６倍になっているらしい。僕が最初に行った時は日本の3分の1で、生活が楽だから４人の学生が留学した。しかし今はチリの２倍だそうだ。アルゼンチンから多くの購買客（観光客ではない）がサンチアゴに来るそうだ。チリの物価はほぼ日本並みとするとアルゼンチンは現在日本の２倍。建設物価もそうだろう。そんな場所で建物が建つのだろうか？？？I was shocked by the estimate I received from Japan. According to a government official for whom I helped to judged the competition, the standard price for a government office building is 3 million yen per tsubo. ,,,,,Even so, inflation in Argentina, where I have decided to go next month, is staggering, and prices have apparently increased sixfold since I first went there 15 years ago. When I first went, prices were one-third of those in Japan, and I sent four students because life was easy. But now they are apparently twice as expensive as in Chile. Apparently, many buyers (not tourists) come to Santiago from Argentina. The same can be said for construction prices. Will a building actually be erected in such a place???
