『世界としての窓』を編集してくれた早稲田大学出版部の八尾さんと食事をしたら「坂牛さんにファンレターが届いてます」と言われて一通のお手紙をいただいた。建築家を目指す女子高校生が拙著を読み感想を綴ったものだった。きちんと内容を理解して自分の意見も記したものだった。こんなものをいただくのは初めてで著者冥利に尽きると少し嬉しくなった。When I had dinner with Mr. Yao of the Waseda University Press, who edited “Window as the World,” he told me that he had received a fan letter for me. It was a letter from a high school girl who aspires to become an architect, describing her impressions of my book. She had a clear understanding of the contents of the book and included her own opinion. It was the first time for me to receive such a letter and I was a little happy to be the author of this book.
